Our excellent dinner at the historic Griechenbeisl restaurant had got me thinking. The Griechenbeisl was here during the siege of Vienna in 1683. We’re walking in the area of Vienna called the Innere Stadt. If we were in a city in France, the corresponding term would probably be Centre Ville. The idea is that it’s the heart of the city.
